The Internet and your preschooler!

When my daughter was almost 2 she started to show interest in playing on our laptops, wanting to hit the Disney site and the Nick Jr site, and have us help her play the games. At this point we realized how educational the majority of children's game could be. She was learning to match with memory, or count with Mickey.
During this time I was worried about what and where she went, while she was surfing because I was right beside her. I kept book marking a lot of sites. As she started to be independent on the computer. I still need to keep an eye on her and run back over to select with site i wanted her to be on.
About the time she was 3 we purchase a lil red netbook for her, realized that this gateway series should never of had Windows Vista loaded on it. So i loaded up Ubuntu on it. I then went looking for a kids browser, and happened upon a kids browser named Kidoz. And it was and Adobe Air application, meaning that i could install the Adobe Air runtime on Ubuntu/Linux and that way the application would install. It also means that it installed on my Mac and my wife's Window 7 machine.
No Kidoz is a totally self contained internet browser, with parental features that let you add favorites. But it also defaults you to the community listings, showing a picture of you childs favourite cartoon character in an icon that easy to click.
Life has never been so easy, no more worry about where she is and what she's on. She holds the control to visit Dora, or Blue, or even Max and Ruby and many more.
They have Kids TV as well, letting your child load videos that are all kid friendly and moderator approved.
The best part about Kidoz, is the main features are completely FREE and It runs on any type of computer.
